Bear Mountain

Whew, I am tired! Today found me walking up Bear Mountain in Boulder. Granted it is only a 8500 ft tall mountain (I think we walked about 8 miles or so) but my legs were gettin' a little shaky coming down the mountain. The hike was a lot of fun, I was able to go with half of my class (the other half didn't show) so it was a nice little bonding experience. The view was incredible! When I get the pictures developed (yes, I use film - which will slowly but surely be phased out like VHS tapes) I'm going to start posting them (or post them on a site that I will link to from here).
Funny thing though. As we came home we passed some cowboys (well they wore the hats and the tight wrangler jeans) and someone said (I won't use names):
"Those look really uncomfortable. How do your dice roll in those?"
First reply, "What do they need dice for, gambling?"
Laughter.
"What?"
"Yeah gambling, hey could you blow on my dice for luck?"
"I stick these in my pants so I can get lucky."

Ah the joy of innuendoes.

In other news, my Dad is awesome, my little brother set him up with an e-mail account. Normally people pick something boring like their name, followed by a bunch of letters. No, my Dad puts "Thorsfist" (as in the god's fist: Thor's Fist) for his e-mail. Somepeople's e-mail says their name or something stupid, my Dad's e-mail says 'I'm a bad-ass Viking god!'

So for working out:
Several hours
Something around 8-10 miles (according to the trailguide: a class mate)
The handi-dandy pedometere: 20,623 steps
